So my cat was brought to the Vet 3 months ago for not eating. She had a gum infection. She was X-rayed and treated with antibiotics. It didn't help. We then used revolution on her which in a few days she seemed to be completely better.
A week ago symptoms appeared again. She is eating less and grinding her teeth.
I've brought her to the vet 3 times and am fed up because we've treated her with everything. They said the next step is to do surgery.
Anyone have any ideas?
I can't afford to do surgery, I've already spent hundreds on visits, tests, and medication.
Cat grinding her teeth and not eating...help!?
Have you thought about changing Vets??
Different antibio's may be needed...the 1st. time doesnt always work specially w/ clavamox...sometimes Baytril clears it right up. What does Revolution? have to do with her teeth??
Its a flea treatment!!!!! Fleas dont stop an animal from eating!
Surgery?? For what?? No offense...but ur so-called Vet sounds like an idiot!!
A possible dental cleaning, checkup, may need some teeth removed but not major surg! ...another dose of antibio's, get all work you've had done to date - SEEK another VET. ( Plz.) with those results, so as not to cost more $$ for duplicate work... and get you kitty the right treatment and get her outta the pain shes in.
Just think if u were the kitty- how would your mouth feel?
Good Luck %26amp; plz dont give up yet.
Reply:If you love your cat then you will do the surgery, but also keep an open mind about what it could be and look for alternatives.
