My cat will always rub his nose and lips/teeth on my face. I'm assuming it's a form of affection. Am I the only one?
Why does my cat rub his nose and teeth on my face?
no all cats do that
Reply:he loves you! or he's itchy, but i prefer to think its love!
Reply:he's marking his territory, all cats do that
Reply:No.
In male cats it is very common. He simply likes you.
My cat does the same thing.
cats have scent glands on their cheeks so he is just showing you affection.
Personally i like it because i know he likes me.
Hope i helped!!!
Reply:Mine does it too !! (monte the gray one in my pic) , sometimes he opens his mouth just a little , an ends up Nipping at my forhead *ouch* .. But i love the bugger !!
Reply:They have scent glands there and are marking their territory!
Reply:to leave his scent to kinda say he owns you lol but seriousley thats what it means
Reply:He loves you a lot. My previous cat used to do this all the time. Aside from being affectionate, he's marking you with his scent to show other cats that you belong to him.
Lucky you.
Reply:My cat does it all the time. It's affection. It's also a way of marking you and claiming you as his person. I think of them as kitty kisses.
Reply:yes they only do that with people they like. usually only with family %26amp; not all of them do it after their grown
Reply:when cat gets itchy it rubs the hard surface probably it is wood but when cat rubs on your face it is sharing your energy and love you give to the animal. they are more sensitive to human vibes than we intellectuals are.
wish you happy rubbing
Reply:He LOVES you! That's a cat greeting they give to close friends and mama. Be grateful he's not a drooler, they get really sloppy when they say 'I love you'!
Try rubbing him back along the jaw line or lip line, from front to back, that's what a cat would do in return.
Ours also give head bangs, which hurt and make my glasses fall off, but they think it's fun... go figure.
