Any tips for brushing a cat's teeth?

Good brands and ideas on how to get your cat to sit nicely for brushing would be greatly appreciated :)

Any tips for brushing a cat's teeth?
I wish I had started brushing my kitties' teeth when they were young. That would save them from the cleanings at the vet.

Here is a very nice video from Cornell University with some good hints.

Purrs to you and kitty.
Reply:there might be a vet that you can take your cat to and they will do it there. look around your town and call people (^=
Reply:dont try and brush a cats teeth it wont work, you can by food thats extra crunchy which helps keep the teeth in good condition.

go to the vets and ask about it, but if your cats a hunter it shouldn't need its teeth cleaning as all the crunchy bones keep their teeth in good condition.
Reply:I use PetzLife gel.

I don't really brush my cat's teeth with this, I just rub it on her teeth with a finger brush. She doesn't like it, but it only takes two seconds. Some people feed raw meat with bones, like chicken necks or wings, to help clean a cat's teeth.
Reply:cats have smaller teeth than humans
