Cat clicking teeth while sleeping?

I have heard of cats 'clicking teeth' or 'chattering' when seeing birds, but I am just at a loss when my kitten falls asleep someplace warm or on me. After she has been asleep for a few minutes, she will start clicking her teeth on each other, making noises. I have hand raised her since she was about 3 or 4 days old as an abandoned kitten by hand, and I think she is now 8 or 9 weeks old. I don't know if she is just mimicing some of the sounds I have been told that I make at night while I sleep, or if it is something entirely different.

i have a cat that snores (rather loudly) and another that wheezes (softly) and big fatty kitty that clicks his teeth, cries, twitches his whiskers and makes noises like he is eating or drinking something





the vet said hes fine, hes just dreaming and must have a really active immagination

They are dreaming, so it could be anything. Sometimes they even make sucking noises.
Reply:could be she is dreaming.
Reply:She might be dreaming about chasing birds and bugs.
Reply:does she purr at night? or when she is sleeping? it might be that she is trying to purr. also, she might just be deprived. try getting another kitten about her age, just so she has a companion.
