It is a good idea to regularly brush your cat's teeth.
In the wild, cats' teeth are cleaned by eating the muscle meat and bones of their prey. Domestic cats, unless they are fed a raw diet, don't get that benefit.
DRY FOOD DOESN'T CLEAN THE TEETH. Nor will so-called "dental treats" since they're just crunchy bits as well.
There are alternatives to brushing, but nothing is as good. There are supplements you can add to the water or to the food, and there are even products you can get from your vet, I think it's called Oravet, that you rub on their gums once a week.
Another alternative is to feed chicken necks. I've started doing this.
But brushing (outside of a whole prey diet) is the very best.
Or you can do absolutely nothing and hope for the best. But at some point your cat will need a cleaning, and that COSTS. Prices vary, but I've heard fees between $200 and $1,000 depending on what needs to be done.
Did cat need to brushing their teeth? if yes, what do I have to do or buy?
no..just buy regular cat food..nothing what you eat..ex.chicken...
Reply:Not usually, in the wild cats would be eating fresh prey, in which the bones would clean their teeth. Just feed your cat dry cat food every second meal and give it raw chicken with bones to help keep the cats teeth healthy and clean
Reply:Cats don't need their teeth brushed. However, cats do get tarter build up on their teeth which can lead to tooth loss, gingivitus, and other dental problems. You should get a teeth cleaning from a vet every so often.
Reply:No, if they want their teeth brushed, make them do it themselves like they do out in the wild.
