Why does my cat make clicking noises with its teeth and salivate when it is just resting?

It is not asleep, and it is not watching anything out the window. It's almost like a seizure, but nothing else moves except its little mouth. Is it sick? It is a kitten.

Why does my cat make clicking noises with its teeth and salivate when it is just resting?
My cat did this, he was cleaning his tongue against his teeth. After grooming he had hair stuck in his tongue, so he would making this clicking noise while dislodging the hair from his tongue.

Still, I think you should take your cat to the vet.
Reply:You might be safest to ask a vet.
Reply:your cat may just be dreaming, my cats and dogs do that, my cat coffee would drool sooo much. just imagine what they are dreaming about, finally catching that mouse or squirrel?
Reply:His jaw might be a bit messed up and he can't close his mouth the right way. See a vet.
Reply:take it to a vet to be sure its okay. It might just be it clashes its teeth like some people do, maybe its just normal.
Reply:It sounds like seizure activity to me. I'm not a vet but I've got 7 cats and a dog. Does he stare off into space? Twitching is normal if they're sleeping but awake, you have a problem. Get the little guy to the Vet.
