Brushing cats' teeth?
Hi Tammie...here's an instructional video on how to brush cats teeth by Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine: http://www.felinevideos.vet.cornell.edu/...
Reply:you can get little like pills or like mints that clean your cat's teeth and like freshen their breath so you don't have to brush them. You could probably find them at like any large pet store
Reply:You gave your cat anesthesia at home to brush his teeth?

You should have started brushing his teeth as a kitten to get him use to it. You may have a problem with it now. And please don't give him any more anesthesia at home, take him to the vet for that.
Reply:There are a number of products on the market. I have posted a link to a variety of products, and within that link are more details on feline dental care. Also, using things like C.E.T. Chews (available at vet offices) will aid in keeping your cats teeth clean.
Reply:You really dont have to brush your cats teeth but you can give them cat breath mints that take care of their teeth. They whiten their theeth and freshen their breath.
Reply:You don't need to really brush them....get a cat tooth paste (CET makes a good one). Put some on your finger and rub it along the teeth and gums (should be alot easier than actually getting a brush in there!) The cats tongue will help aid in distributing the paste and removing some plaque...do this twice a day week. Also, feed dry food or give hard treats to help aid in removing plaque as well.
