What can you do to relieve a cat's pain due to bad teeth?

Go to the vet, and have the cats teeth cleaned, and removed as necessary

What can you do to relieve a cat's pain due to bad teeth?
Take the kitty to the vet ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:I'd try taking your cat to the vet. They can do a dental cleaning and give it some meds.
Reply:Have you taken it to the vet. They can pull painful and infected teeth.
Reply:Take them to the vet; they'll be able to give you better advice than any of the knuckleheads here....
Reply:Take it to the vet. Dental work is very important as infections can greatly affect the cats overall wellbeing, not to mention cats don't usually eat with sore mouths or teeth. Do not give it asprin! It could kill your cat!!

Call the vet at least and get an expert opinion. Nothing you do at home could possibly be better than getting your cat help from a proffessional
Reply:I have had 2 cts with a congenital periodontal problem (they have bad teeth).

The only thing you can do is to take them to the vet and have the teeth pulled. A half-mouth of teeth pulled can be done for between %26lt;$300 or %26gt;$1,000. I know because I got 2 opinions and found that vet fees vary widely.

The vet will give the cat antibiotics overnight, you bring the cat in the next day, operation performed, cat may stay 1 additional night. They come home and eat soft food the rest of their life.
Reply:I ask a question with your question(sorry)---how do you relieve your own selfs pain when you have a toothache.--How do you know your cat has a tooth problem??--treat the animal as you would treat yourself.
Reply:Your vet can clean her teeth, under anesthesia. It costs about $150.00. Our cat had hers done last Summer, and that was the price, but we have a cool vet. Until then, try the new indoor formula cat food, it has all the good stuff in it to help clean the tartar.

Ask your vet.
Reply:Once the cat has the disease you have to take it to the vet regularly for a deep cleaning... just like people. Once you have it, it doesn't go away. All you can do is take care of it regularly. After the cleaning, you can get special cat toothpaste and rub it on the gums (massage) and teeth yourself in between vet visits.
Reply:Take the cat to the vet and have a dental done. They will clean and remove teeth as necessary.

I had my cat done two weeks ago she is now eating pain free and happy again.
Reply:Your cat needs to see a vet asap. I had a Maine Coon who had bad teeth. Even with regular cleanings, they still deteriorated and my vet removed them. He charged me only $10 per tooth, plus anesthesia, pre-op tests and medicine. I think the first time I ended up paying $250.
