Does Your Cat Rip Paper with his Teeth?

Our cat will rip anything paper, sheets of paper, shopping bags, even the computer paper in the package. He also likes to chase paper crumpled into a ball and he carries a toy foam football around. He's also very nosey, but funny.

yes most cats rip up paper,.a mother cat will make a nest to have her kittens on out of ripped up paper they all like to chase a crumpled ball of paper i tie a ball of paper to a remote controlled car and my cats chase it round the yard
Reply:Yes, mine makes confetti out of the Sunday paper. For some reason it's only the Sunday issue. Cellophane from packages is another curiosity for her.
Reply:Yes, my cat rips paper...he seems to particularily enjoy ripping receipts...so have to be careful about leaving the bags on the floor when I first come home...first thing he does is start stepping on the bags with one foot to see whats in them...gets a little miffed when I say " I didnt buy you anything" haha

He also likes to play fetch and other unique games with various toys, but then both my cats have an advantage since I'm a professional animal trainer as well. They're both toilet trained %26amp; can flush as well!
Reply:my moms cat does that. they have to hide bills because of her. they really don't need a shredder. at tax time she ripped up something important...opps
Reply:Yep, mine too. I've got to keep paper towels in the closet because she shreds them! If it makes a noise, she'll shred it.

Reply:My cat like only paper towels and soft wallpaper. I thought that she learned that from rats during her hard childhood, during cold winter, when she was left in street homeless by somebody. But I read other answers and started to doubt about this version.
Reply:Yes- my youngest kitten especially loves paper and plastic bags......but usually when she wants attention, like if I'm not home much. Tends to be a statement- "Mum give me attention!!!"
Reply:My cat eats toilet roll, kitchen roll and paper. And he has a chronic problem with sitting on whatever you're reading.
