How can i make my cat stop bitting me with her teeth?

Some training is required.





Cats don't understand time-outs. Water spraying is not good either. Tapping on the nose is a good suggestions. Also hissing at the cat, saying a firm and simple "No1", and putting her away from you.





You MUST be very consistent with this, otherwise it could be interpreted as a kind of game. Let her know you are serious and she cannot continue to enjoy your company until she stops.

if she is young like a kitten that means she wants u to pet her if shes not u have to teach her not to by just simply tapping her on her head thats all

Reply:It may be that your cat is looking for you to play a hunt and chase game with it. You should try a toy that will satisfy this need, like a mouse on a string.
Reply:figure out a punishment that works for you and stick with it...the cat will associate biting with that punishment and learn....try rubbing vinegar on her lips...I know my cat hates it and it's harmless

Reply:No sh!t? she bit with her teeth? Man, i had never heard of a cat doing that. J/K.lol. Well my cat does that all the time idk why im just petting her then she grabs my hand and bites it , it hurts like hell.maybe a spray bottle

Reply:I wish I knew....I have one who wants to nibble on me all the time, and it isn't that she wants to be petted. If you pet her, she just swivels her head around and nibbles the hand that's doing the petting. While we're at it, I've got one that will lick you to death. I'm thinking of changing her name to Odie. That water pistol thing doesn't work for me. It just backfires and makes the cat hate me.
Reply:my cat used to bite very badly. My mother in law has 2-3 stiches from his bite.


the time passed by and he is not in the mood for biting anymore. I dont want to jinx it:))
Reply:It could be if ur petting him and he bites u then he wants u to stop petting him...If he is biting u for no reason then you should talk to the vet...Maybe he doesnt have enough play time with you or doesnt have toys to play with....i would say if ur playing with him and he bites say NO! and then try to show a toy and redirect his focus there...Hope it helps...goodluck!
