Why did my cat die? he was only 1/2 year old. he wasn't hit and his teeth had gone through his tounge...?

we found him in front of the neighbors yard, dead. he was only a little over 1/2 year old. we don't think he got hit by a car because his body looked fine no cuts and no scratches but his teeth did go through his tounge. we don't have enemy neighbors so i doubt he was poisoned. what could have been a possibility of how he died. the only thing that i can say is that he was a runt cat at least i think. he was a lot smaller than his brother.and i saved him from the wilderness along wiht his brother. i'm really sad about it. please someone answer. a vet would be helpful. thanx for listening.

What did you do w/the body? It'll be hard to find out if there were no witnesses when it died.

There are possibilities: he had a seisure, a stroke, or a heart attack, any kind of strong, sudden pain that took him by surprise %26amp; made his jaw contract.

Another possibility is that some person you don't know may have mistreated by banging hard on its head. I doubt it fell down on its chin because, usually, cats fall feet first.

Most likely we can't find out what happened unless a vet. has other ideas.

May you find peace in your heart, thinking that whatever happened, your little furry friend will be watching you as a spirit, hoping you'll be a good person and do good in this world of ours, maybe help other animals in need. Blessings and hugs.Rz
Reply:I'm so sorry! He's in heaven now. You'll probably see him again someday.
Reply:Maybe someone hit him on the head with something. It would be very hard for him to put his teeth through his tongue otherwise, unless he had a seizure. Had he ever shown any signs of unsteadiness or shaking? Did you check his head for swelling?
Reply:some one probable kicked him or he could have had a strock or a spasum and died. u shouldn be said hes in a better place now.
Reply:maybe he was tounge tied?
Reply:Don't know but the best thing is to always make your cat an indoor cat and never let it out. It's too dangerous for cats outdoors and too many predators.

It will live a lot longer also. Poor kitty, that's awful.
