I feed him pate at the moment, but he is getting a bit bored with it, ow it is hot I would like to give him something juicy!
My cat has no teeth and finds eating difficult, any ideas on what I can feed him?
hello i've found that you can feed your cat baby food from the jar and another way you could try is the moist food thats not so chunky. Also you can take dry food and hot water , mix it together until it is mushy and then your cat can eat it. that's a definate way of doing only because when you happen to bottle feed kittens at a very young age you would then have to give then kitten food and for then to try it you would mix it with water to make is moist because they need to get use to it.

Reply:get a blender and just blend the hell out of everything
Reply:give him canned cat food, it's soft and juicy
Reply:aaah! poor cat, what happened to his teeth, you could ask the vet?
Reply:A bit of cream (single cream) would be a good variety, once a couple of meals (not, I think, every other meal though). If you have a fine mincer, or whatever it's called (blender, thanks!), you can make pate from another taste of food, for a variety.
Reply:give him a lovely thick but liquidised chicken broth
Reply:mash up his food so it is mushy
Reply:Canned cat food would be my suggestion. Try to get the pasty stuff, and before you give it to him, pre-mash it with a fork until it's really crumbly and small. Also, call your vet and see if they have some suggestions.
Reply:i don't know you better search for this on the internet
Reply:Make sure he doesn't get malnourished - so feed him plenty of cream / evaporated milk, so he'll still have plenty of fat on his bones. It's what I do with my cat - she still has teeth, but she just can't eat some days.
Reply:Give him canned food and ask the vet
Reply:I'm guessing he is old.......???? When my cat was a kitten, a little too young to be away from its mother, the vet recommended I feed him jar baby food, meat flavors. Since it has a very soft consistency, it would be great !
Reply:Try blending up things that he likes like fresh fish or meats like you would for a baby.
Reply:Custard? lol, sorry...
How about putting some build up in his milk?
Reply:can food. it's all slippery and stuff like that I think it's juicy...but I dunno our cat only like one food deal...it's dry food tho... I hoped that helped.
Reply:canned food but keep in mind that if its an old cat, the canned stuff should be tailored to his age. The make several kinds and brands of cat food for the "old folks" so treat him right and purchase the right canned food!
Reply:Whatever it liked to eat before but mashed up, try boiled fish. you local vet should hepl as if it's really not eating anything then it will become emaciated and you could be in all kinds of trouble.
Reply:Jello!
Reply:This happened to my cat when he got older. Just feed him lots of wet food. You could always try wetting down his dry food with milk or water, that way he doesn't lose the nutrients the dry food provides.
Reply:i really advice you to consult a veterinarian
Reply:mashed up tuna, chicken etc. just add some milk to make it really sloppy so he can lap it up
Reply:why don't u try kitten food it s soft and it looks like a pate . i know whiskers do it here in the UK u get 4 cans for £2.50 or so my kitten loved it and so did his mum.
lots of kitten food is easy to chew for obvious reasons give it a shot! oh you could also buy some lactol its available at most good pet stores its a special cat and dog "milk"
Reply:tuna
Reply:canned food maybe
Reply:milkshake
Reply:my cat has no teeth (used to be homeless) and eats
ANYTHING/ EVERYTHING,
usually the jellied canned cat food is her favourite
they have a rough raspy tongue so this helps them to lick up food
if cat is having trouble swallowing may be a more serious problem, check with vet
Reply:Mash up some tuna with water; mashing any food is best for him, but adding water means he is getting fluid, can digest the food better, and is able to cope with lumpy food. My toothless warrior used to have mashed sardines mixed with Whiskas or Felix, all squashed up with a dollop of water, and he lived to be 21!
Reply:Your cat is imperfect therefore you should have it put down, and made into a bag
Reply:give him canned food....you can add water and make it into a gruel if even it is too hard for him to chew. You can also try meat flavored baby food....ham, chicken, beef...etc.
